Homeschool Bowling

Now that “school season” has started back up, a lot of homeschool activity days are being planned. You may be thinking, since you homeschool, why do you wait for the school year to start before doing activities?

The answer to that is people! Once public school is back in session, every place is less crowded, which means as homeschoolers, we have more time to enjoy the activities, without feeling rushed because there are 200 other families wanting to do the same thing that we are doing.

We aren’t big on sports, but the girls enjoy bowling. Wayne Lanes gives us a special price for 2 games and a shoe rental, and our start time is 1PM, which leaves an almost empty bowling alley.

They also have concession, so we always get lunch there, and they have indoor mini golf and a small arcade. We should probably own that claw machine with as many quarters as we’ve “invested” into it!

The girls had a blast, and they even had an “art club” gathering, because most of the kids brought sketch books along to occupy themselves when it wasn’t their turn to bowl. This is an activity we hope to repeat every 2 weeks throughout the “school year”, and maybe by the end of it, we’ll no longer need bumpers up!

Until Next Time….
