Quarantine and Cookies!

So, the entire world is on alert right now for COVID-19.

Last week Ohio’s governor shut down the schools for 3 weeks, and yesterday he shut down bars and restaurants from indoor eating. The community is rallying together to pack lunches for school kids who depend on those meals, listing out all the local restaurants who are doing carryout, and overall just making sure everyone is as prepared as possible.

Cookies!

We are fortunate that this has little effect on us. We homeschool, and Luke works from home. However, all of our outside the house classes have been canceled, our Girl Scout cookie booths are canceled, and Luke is beyond busy trying to set up fellow co-workers with the ability to work from home.

Our cookie booths have been our life the past four weeks, and we are now awaiting decisions from council on what to do with unsold cookies, because our selling season was cut short a week.

Hopefully everyone is staying safe. We honestly expect to go on mandatory quarantine, so most likely we will be living off of chickens and eggs. Now is the time to start gardening again!
